Hi. I'm new here.

Welcome! If you're reading this you are probably here trying to see who I am and what The Sisu Teacher is all about.

Well, this is my blog. Here I will share some tips and tricks that I use in my classroom that help me get my students excited about learning. I am also here to help you as parents master the dreaded homework being sent home. Occasionally I will post videos of things I do in my classroom and random tidbits I find in the teaching world.

Below is a picture of my 1st grade classroom and me getting my tenure pin as a teacher this current year! YAY! I'm excited to start this new journey as a tutor and hope that you will join me as I continue to embrace my inner sisu and show other families how they too can find their Sisu in reading and math skills.

I'm new to blogging and honestly want this to be a space where you can come and get your questions answered regarding academic support at home. I am always excited to write about topics you would like to know more about so feel free to contact me at thesisuteacher@gmail.com for blog topic recommendations!

Stay tuned for the next post when I go deeper and tell you more about who I am and how I ended up as a 1st grade teacher.

Until next time,

The Sisu Teacher
